DVS en Tiling

Code :

Durée du programme : heures | mois

Description :

Tilesetters specialize in the installation of tile coverings made of ceramic or natural stone (slate, marble, granite). They can also install tiles made of quartz, a mixture of resin and natural stone. The first task of a tilesetter is to make sure the surfaces to be covered are free of faults so that the primary materials will adhere to them properly. For this reason, tilesetters level floors and walls to remove any imperfections. They then install the covering. A person with a diploma in tiling can work in both the residential and commercial sectors. In the residential sector, surfaces are smaller, but the work is often more difficult. (The work must always be impeccable.) Work days are generally longer, and may extend to 8:00 p.m., depending on the size of the job. The work week may therefore be as long as 60 hours. In the commercial and institutional sector, the work is carried out on large surfaces and must be done quickly. Working hours are similar to those in other construction trades, namely 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
